| BUDGET COSTS: Luminaire
budgets allow for the ability to apply complete costs to
each design luminaire defined in an audit. These costs
can then be calculated utilizing the 'Budget Costs'
report found in the reporting section of the database
system.
Luminaire budget id's are automatically created each
time a design luminaire is created for a specific audit.
The budget id is the same as the design id code.
When a design luminaire id is created new in the
system, (and a new design template is created as well),
the system additionally creates the new budget id. All of
the values in the new budget id are zero unless there was
a pre-existing template that perfectly matched the new
budget id. If a template existed, then all of the values
contained in the template will be copied into the new
budget id.
The specific parts and their corresponding quantities
are always synchronized with the audit's matching design
luminaire record.
This synchronization works in both directions. If any
changes are made to the parts in the budget costs, the
changes are automatically made to the parts in the
matching design luminaire record. If any changes are made
to the parts in the design luminaire record (on the
design luminaires screen), the changes are automatically
made to the parts in the matching budget costs record.
This syncronization ensures that there are no
discrepancies between the budget costs and the parts list
reports.
