Annual hour reductions are defined in order to compensate for lighting schedules that do not apply for an entire year. For example, a school may operate only nine months out of a year. In order to provide accurate energy calculations, a reduction is applied to the audit that would remove the percentage of time from the total annual hours. In the case of the screen shot presented above, the annual hours for the entire audit will be reduced by twenty five percent to compensate fo the thirteen summer weeks that the project's lighting is not operating.
