Design id code components make up the full design code for an engineered design fixture within the OptoMizer system. Even though a user can also utilize his/her own fixture code (as seen in the 'Fixture Codes' screen), OptoMizer creates a fixture code of its own for every design that is entered into the system. The beauty of this system is that the design id code is completely customizable by the user.

This screen contains the 12 component categories that make up a complete design fixture. Each piece of the code is put together to create a single design id code that COMPLETELY describes the fixture.

Design id components are an integral part in the creation of a luminaire design. Some id components are pre-defined in the OptoMizer database system in order to get the user started, however, it is absolutely possible (using this screen) to add or remove the components depending upon your specific needs.

A legend is provided in the reporting section of the database that defines the nomenclature of the included design id components.

It is possible to remove all of the pre-defined components and create an entirely different id definition if desired.

The codes all come together to create a complete design id in the design luminares screen.
